Where Business Card Reader is the better choice

  • You want to approve every field before it leaves the phone. Its flow is read, check, correct, send. BusyTrip writes the row immediately and expects you to fix it in the sheet.
  • You want a native store app with the store's install and update model.
  • You scan cards only and do not need notes, tags or profile lookups.

Questions

Can I move from one to the other?

Both write to Google Sheets. Copy the rows from one sheet into the other; there is no lock-in on either side.

Does either one hallucinate contacts?

BusyTrip declines photos it cannot read a name from and keeps the image for a retry; it does not invent a row. We measured this on 102 random photos. We have not tested Business Card Reader the same way.

Which is more accurate?

We have not run a controlled accuracy comparison and will not claim one. Both rely on OCR or vision models that read printed cards well and struggle with glare and tilt.
