How the card gets into the sheet

1. Sign in with Google. BusyTrip asks only for permission to create and edit files it makes itself. It cannot see the rest of your Drive.
2. Photograph the card. Camera, gallery, or a file upload; several cards at once if you like. Each card becomes its own scan.
3. Add context while it reads. Tag the event or project and type what you talked about. Both land in the row, which is what makes the sheet useful three months later.
4. Check the row. The scan appears in your list within seconds. Open the sheet from the row, fix anything that was misread, and you are done.

What the sheet looks like

BusyTrip creates one spreadsheet called Connections in its own folder in your Drive and appends a row per card. The columns are fixed, so anything that reads spreadsheets can consume it: a mail merge, a Zap, a pivot table, or an import into whatever CRM you eventually pick.

Why a sheet and not a contacts app

Contacts apps are built for people you already know. A stack of cards from a conference is a list of people you might follow up with, and it belongs in a table you can sort by event, filter by industry and hand to a colleague. A Google Sheet does all of that and it is yours: cancel BusyTrip tomorrow and the sheet stays exactly where it is.

What it reads well and what it declines

Printed cards in Latin, Cyrillic, Chinese and Japanese scripts read reliably. Cards with only a company name and no person are saved with the company as the contact. If the photo is not a business card, or the name is unreadable, BusyTrip says so and keeps the photo so you can retake it, rather than inventing a contact. We published the numbers from a test on 102 random photos.
